About David

For over 15 years…

David Rosenblum faithfully served the local church as a worship pastor, leading people into the presence of God. Yet woven into every season of ministry was a deeper calling: to walk alongside the next generation in their struggles, victories, and search for identity. Even as a student himself, David often described his heart as that of an “undercover youth pastor.” What he didn’t know was that God was preparing him for a unique assignment—one that would take him beyond the platform and into the broken places where hope is hardest to find.

That calling came into focus two and a half years ago when the director of Pine Mountain Boys Academy—a Teen Challenge adolescent center in Middle Georgia—invited David to a Super Bowl party with the staff and students. The words “1,000 wings” definitely sweetened the deal (who could say no to that?), but when David walked through the doors of Teen Challenge that night, what gripped him was something far deeper. He immediately felt at home, sensing God’s hand stirring his heart. Soon, his visits became regular—two and three times a week—spending time with young men whose stories carried deep pain, shame, and brokenness.

Week after week, David encountered students who wondered if there was any hope for their lives. While the staff and counselors at Pine Mountain Boys Academy provided excellent care, David began to see that God was asking him to bring his whole heart and calling into this mission: to focus fully on helping students encounter the life-changing power of Jesus, discover His plans for their lives, and walk into a future filled with purpose.

Now, as a U.S. Missionary with Teen Challenge, David partners with the world-class staff at Pine Mountain Boys Academy to bring discipleship, encouragement, and pastoral care to a generation in desperate need of hope. David still uses his unique gift of music and creativity as a valuable tool while his mission is to see these young men through the eyes of Christ—not as failures, but as sons. He desires to help them experience God’s freedom, discover and develop the gifts inside of them, and help them get connected to a local church when they leave the program.

In a time when the enemy is waging war on the family unit and young people are bombarded with confusion and despair, missionaries to this generation are not optional—they are essential. Together, the Church can help put hope within reach of every student at Teen Challenge. And as we do, the sound of restoration will rise—the voices of sons once silenced by shame, now singing with freedom, courage, and destiny. Thank you for helping David change the story, through the power of Jesus.

We are continually amazed by the unique gifts David brings to our campus. He listens with genuine care, speaks truth with grace, and helps students and families discover hope even in their most difficult moments. Most people know David as a worship pastor, but one of his greatest gifts often goes unnoticed, his ability to build genuine relationships. David has a way of disarming people and loving them in exactly the way they need. In my darkest moments, he was there, not to condemn me or call me out, but to gently show me the path forward. He never labeled me by my mistakes; instead, he lifted me out of them. To me, David is more than a mentor, he’s a true friend.
— Joel Guttas | Graduate of Teen Challenge
Pastor David was a true blessing to our family during our son Joel’s time in the Teen Challenge program in Meansville, GA.  His selfless volunteering of his time, unwavering dedication, spiritual wisdom, and compassionate guidance played a vital role in his healing and recovery.  The truth and love he spoke into our son’s life brought clarity and strength, and we saw a true transformation in a large part because of David’s influence.  We are deeply grateful for the impact he made not only on our son, but on all the young men in the program.

David has been a pivotal person in my life. If it wasn’t for him I would have no place to stay, my soul still lost, and stuck in my bitterness. But thanks to his “yes” to God’s calling to Teen Challenge, he has coached me through many obstacles and helped me overcome my traumas through Christ. If I could describe David in two words it would be “open” and “obedient” to Gods calling over his life...
— Jackson Brancato | Graduate of Teen Challenge
David started coming to Teen Challenge while I was in the program. One thing I quickly learned from spending time with him is that he loves people and that when he speaks, you’d better listen closely because he has years of experience to validate what he says. Even though I’ve graduated Teen Challenge and am now a ministry student, he continues to minister to me and continues to help me grow as a leader. He truly is a friend of the Bridegroom!
— Cruz Cournand | Graduate of Teen Challenge
David has mentored and helped many young individuals in their discipleship journey. He listens. Bread is broken. The broken heal. Those healed have hope. Hope leads to the Kingdom. The Kingdom multiplies. Jesus is exalted. David is renewed. He connects with another. Another soul is rescued. The rescue is a violent beauty. The beauty is eternal. The eternal is the reward.
The reward is the motivation. The motivation is David’s muse. His heart belongs to Jesus Christ. All glory belongs to Him.
— Kim Pendleton | Admissions Coordinator of Pine Mountain Boys Academy
Authenticity in ministry is special. Finding leaders with pure intentions, strong faith and courageous boldness is not always easy. However, the Lord has filled David Rosenblum with these abilities and so much more. The Teen Challenge ministry needs leaders who can help those struggling understand what transformation in Christ looks like. I believe the Lord will use David in mighty ways for this ministry and am excited to watch what God does through him.
